GAME CHANGING PERFORMANCE WITH NEW WINDOWSKINS®
Soon to be released Intertek test data shows significant improvement of WexEnergy’s redesigned WindowSkin® when compared to WindowSkin's energy performance as reported 2 years ago. Most importantly, increased energy savings in NYC translates into higher incentive rebates from utilities such as Con Edison and reductions in penalties for building owners (subject to Local Law 97). WindowSkin’s improved performance is expected to significantly increase market acceptance and adoption by both customers and distribution partners.
In July 2021, WexEnergy upgraded WindowSkin with new design elements to improve energy performance, aesthetics and product robustness. WexEnergy submitted both PolarSkinTM and SolarSkinTM to Intertek, an international inspection, product testing and certification company, for testing under the same test protocols used by the National Fenestration Ratings Council to test windows for ENERGY STAR® Ratings. Testing began in Q4 2021. We will share a final report summary with you as soon as it’s available.
In parallel with the Intertek test results, WexEnergy’s superior performance, aesthetics and ease of measurement and installation is also being validated by Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) and Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA). PNNL’s lead engineer shared with WexEnergy that PolarSkin provides a higher interior surface temperatures than a competitor’s more expensive window insert weighing 7 times more than PolarSkins. PNNL is studying 4 interior window retrofits commercially available in the USA. Their report is expected by early Q2-2022. We will share a summary of the final report from PNNL as soon as it’s available.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2022
WexEnergy SELECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
WexEnergy’s WindowSkin technology was identified by the Dept. of Energy High Impact Technology Catalyst Program (“HIT”) as a high potential technology for reducing energy loss of the building envelope. We have started meeting with DoE’s HIT team to identify a building suitable for PolarSkin implementation. PNNL will provide 3rd party Measurement and Verification (M&V) for the chosen site.
You can help WexEnergy identify site(s) for selection for this program. We are looking for buildings constructed before 2000 in the following markets: elder-care, university dormitories and multi-family housing.

OUR PRODUCTION LINE IS HUMMING
The Tennessee Valley Authority’s (“TVA”) second group of WindowSkins was delivered to CLEAResult, TVA’s partner on the ground in Nashville, TN. We are filling orders for multiple customers as well as various pilot projects for high growth potential customers
Due to an ongoing construction project at the Federal Courthouse in Eau Claire, WI, GSA has requested that their PolarSkin installation be deferred to Summer 2022.
INVESTMENT ROUND
WexEnergy has made great strides in product performance, scaling up manufacturing and growing initial sales to customers with significant growth potential in both the private and public sectors.
We continue to move forward on our second tranche of financing for the current round. WexEnergy has a significant commitment from a new institutional investor and hopes to fill and close the remainder of the round by Q2 of this year. Please reach out in the next few weeks if you have interest in participating in this second tranche.
Year-end 2021 Financial Statements will be released after our accountants have completed their work. As a reminder, K-1s will not be issued since WexEnergy elected C Corp accounting status in 2020.
