WexEnergy is a woman-owned clean-tech company in Rochester, New York. Since 2014 we’ve helped building owners cut energy costs and raise NOI — without the expense and disruption of replacing a single window.

An affordable answer to the most wasteful part of a building.
Buildings are responsible for nearly 39% of carbon emissions — yet only a small fraction of old, energy-leaking windows are replaced each year, because replacement is expensive and disruptive. WexEnergy was founded in 2014 to change that math.
Our answer is WindowSkin® / WexWindows™: a transparent, featherweight insulation panel that’s manufactured 100% in New York State, snaps onto existing windows in minutes, and lasts 15+ years — at a fraction of replacement cost. As a woman-owned business, we help owners reduce emissions and operating costs across their portfolios, one window at a time.

Dr. Ron Wexler
CO-FOUNDER & CTO
Ron is the science teacher you wish you’d had — an inventor who loves solving hard problems and explaining the science behind them. A former Eastman Kodak research scientist, he’s named on more than 20 U.S. patents tied to over $2 billion in product sales. He holds an S.B. in Chemistry from MIT and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from UC Berkeley, and was a research fellow at Caltech. He designed WindowSkin® with one rule in mind: ‘it had to be easy.’

CO-FOUNDER · PRESIDENT & CEO
Rachel has walked many miles in your shoes: 27 years in commercial and multifamily real estate, plus 16+ years of team-building, fiscal management, and raising capital. Until 2017 she was President of Norry Management Corp., a Rochester property development and management firm. She became CEO of WexEnergy in 2017 and leads its mission to make energy efficiency genuinely affordable for building owners.
